When you go in doubles, its really hard to capture photographs where are both are there, either you ask someone else which is like a lot of dependency if you want multiple shots or the prefered pose, or you are left with the same selfie poses. S1, S2, S3- brief comparison after cons

PROS OF WECOOL SELFIE TRIPOD S3

1. Stable and good quality (detaild below) selfie stick with built-in tripod, and overall more ergonomic design compared to S1 (new design for screw that locks mobile holder, etc, check side by side pics for mode details)
2. Aluminium alloy telescopic extension is strong, light-weight and stable compared to steel counterpart (S1 and S2 versions)
3. Tripod has new design with better locking and rubber shoe for enhanced stability on surface where it stands (compared to S1)
4. Easy to pair wireless BT remote. Just press the power button for a couple of seconds and search for WeCool S3 on your mobile device and click on pair.
5. Removable wireless remote (works with both Android and iOS) is a blessing, fix tripod at any place and click pics. Even when stick is hand-held, clicking via wireless remote on other hand helps avoid shakes and blurs.
6. S3, unlike the S1, has rugged construction- striped mobile grips (reduced slippage), thicker supports (more durable), a wider spread of legs (better stability), and a beautiful ring with a copper finish.
7. You can rotate mobile holder (perpendiculat to mobile surface) at 45 degree stops to set different angle for capture
8. You can fix mobile holder at any angle to set perfect capture angle. Such as when on table, mobile can be perpendicular to your eyesight, and while trying to take selfie in hand held mode, perfect capture angle is possible by still fixing it perpendicular to your eyesight.

CONS OF WECOOL SELFIE TRIPOD S3

1. Stable only if you don’t extend it fully. At full length its a bit unstable and in winds it may fall. I always use it at 60-70% length to keep it stable. I think one cant make it further stable without compromising on the compactness of this stick. So its a pass.
2. I would have preferred S1 kind of remote fixing arrangement (sliding one), as opposed to current one which is push fit. Its a bit risky as you might accidently pull if off and lose it, which was not possible in case of slide lock as you need to slide it up to take it out. They tried to make it fast removal of remote but made it more vulnerable to be lost.
3. You can’t use it as full fledged tripod to capture perfect shots being at face level while you are standing, since even at full extension camera is at waist level, while its kept on floor and one is standing.
4. I understand that mobile needs strong hold while in tripod, but this spring mechanism is too stiff. They would have rather gone for screw arrangement to fix mobiles.

VERDICT

Despite of a few cons or my personal preferences for how the stick should have been, this is a must have thing to carry to have those perfect snaps and not being dependant on random strangers. The best part is, it can easily fit in normal size womens purse or even mens trouser’s pocket. A tripod in pocket.
